Saving Teams

Save the teams you care about to quickly find their performance times and get notifications.

Why Save Teams?​

When you save a team:

  • Find their performances instantly
  • Get notified before they perform
  • See all their performances in one place
  • Track schedule changes affecting them

How to Save a Team​

From the Schedule​

  1. Find the team in the event schedule
  2. Tap the heart icon on their row
  3. The heart fills in to confirm it's saved

From Performance Details​

  1. Tap a performance to see details
  2. Tap Save Team
  3. Optionally set notification preferences

From Search Results​

  1. Search for a team name
  2. Tap the heart icon next to matching results

Viewing Saved Teams​

My Teams Tab​

Inside an event, tap the My Teams tab to see:

  • All your saved teams at this event
  • Their next performance time
  • Time until they perform
  • Notification status

My Teams (Global)​

From the home screen, tap My Teams to see saved teams across all events.

Teams vs. Performances​

CheerKeeper distinguishes between:

  • Teams: The program/gym and team name (e.g., "Elite All-Stars Black")
  • Performances: A specific scheduled time slot

When you save a team, you're tracking:

  • All their performances at the event
  • Including awards appearances
  • Any schedule changes

Managing Saved Teams​

Removing a Team​

  1. Find the team in My Teams
  2. Tap the heart icon to unsave
  3. Or swipe left and tap Remove

Notification Settings​

For each saved team:

  1. Tap the team in My Teams
  2. Adjust notification time (5, 10, 15, 30 min before)
  3. Toggle notifications on/off

Multiple Teams​

Track as many teams as you need:

  • Kids on different teams
  • Friends' teams
  • Teams you coach

Each team can have different notification settings.

Team Following Across Events​

Save a team once and CheerKeeper remembers:

  • If "Elite All-Stars Black" competes at multiple events, they're auto-tracked
  • Based on team and organization name matching
  • Works for most major programs

Syncing Saved Teams​

With an Account​

Create a free account to:

  • Sync saved teams across devices
  • Keep teams saved when you reinstall
  • Access from iPhone and Android

Without an Account​

Saved teams are stored on your device only. They'll be lost if you:

  • Uninstall the app
  • Switch devices
  • Clear app data

Tips​

Find Teams Faster​

Use the schedule search to find teams quickly:

  • Search partial names: "Elite" finds "Elite All-Stars"
  • Search organization names
  • Search athlete names (if listed)

Organize by Event​

The My Teams tab groups teams by event, so you can:

  • See today's event first
  • Check upcoming events
  • Review past performances

Competition Day​

On competition day:

  • Open My Teams first thing
  • Check for any schedule changes
  • Note all your performance times
  • Set your notifications

Troubleshooting​

Team Not Saving​

  • Check internet connection
  • Restart the app
  • Make sure the event is still active

Can't Find a Team​

  • Try different search terms
  • Check spelling
  • The team may be listed under a different name

Teams Disappeared​

  • If you cleared app data, teams are lost (without account)
  • Sign in to restore synced teams
  • Re-add teams manually if needed
